Children enjoy a day of sailing to historic Indian Key.  Boat provided by our community partner Islander Water Sports  www.islanderwatersports.com
Our playgrounds are inspiring to the child's imagination.
Our classrooms provide students with natural sunlight. Each classroom uses a blend of Montessori materials, Singapore Math and interactive traditional lessons to enhance a students learning experience.
Tire World playground provides a covered, shady area for the children to play on those rainy and hot tropical days.

Each classroom at Ocean Studies Charter School offers children a foundation in the Montessori philosophy.   Each grade is guided by a certified Montessori teacher as well as a state credentialed teacher.

Community partners support our school and provide the opportunity for our children to learn from experts.  Here, Island Dolphin Care staff gives a short lecture on sea urchins.
During a class a student presents what he has learned on a topic of his choice.

Ocean Studies has a Marine Lab equipped with fish tanks, microscopes and viewing boxes.  The students are encouraged to explore the specimens.  Our Marine Science teachers provide specimens coinciding with units of study in the curriculum.
These children show their love for school by writing it in the sand.
Our students are on the water 3 to 4 times a month.  They have the opportunity to engage in a variety of subjects including, but not limited to writing, science, history and math.
